Washington DC Weather: One more oppressive day with hefty thundershowers

One more day of oppressive humidity with scattered showers and storms is in store for your Thursday.

Today:
Few AM Showers, Limited Sun, Sultry, Scattered Hefty Showers & Storms, Possibly Severe
Highs: Mid to Upper 80s
Wind: WSW 10-15 mph
Overnight:
Couple Showers & Storms, Mostly Cloudy, Muggy
Lows: 64?-69?
Wind: NW 5-10 mph
Tomorrow:
Partly Cloudy, Less Humid & Cooler, Spotty Shower Possible
Highs: Around 80?
Wind: North 5-10 mph

It is weather d?j? vu as our intense humidity continues. An approaching cold front will enhance our chance for scattered showers and storms today and some could become strong to severe. Behind the front, drier air will briefly build into the region. In fact, Friday and Saturday will feature comfortable humidity levels. However, a shower or two cannot be ruled out, but should not be widespread, as the front stalls nearby. By Sunday, the cold front, may start drifting back north as a warm front. This will return warmer and more humid air to the region and increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms. Have a great day!

The wind tunnel at the University of Maryland is typically used to test the aerodynamics of aircraft, automobiles, sails, and even speed skating uniforms. Though recently Adam Caskey had the opportunity to test his strength against 115 mph (category 3 hurricane) winds! You must check out his flapping cheeks and spectacular hairdo afterward here!
