Utah State basketball: Aggies on the road at New Mexico State

College hoops ? USU routed on the road.

Las Cruces, N.M. ? A 13-game win streak came to a screeching halt on Thursday night.

Utah State (14-2, 5-1) was beat up on the road, suffering a 64-48 thrashing from New Mexico State at the Pan-American Center. The visiting Aggies started out shooting cold, and then kept rolling downhill as Aggies dressed in crimson knocked them flat.

USU trailed by as much as 21 in its first loss since November.

NMSU took its victory in style, notching blocks, dunks and even alley-oops in one of its most dominant performances of the season. While Preston Medlin had 14 points to lead the team, Utah State seemed mostly stuck in a lower gear.

As a team, the visiting Aggies shot under 40 percent, were outrebounded, and barely got to the free-throw line.
