Acoustic music rooted in tradition isn't necessarily stuck in the past, especially when old-soul artists like Sarah Jarosz are expanding the genre with respect, innate musicality and curiosity.
A joyful set at the 2010 Newport Folk Festival literally set the stage for her sophomore album Follow Me Down (out May 17), and it's hard not to follow the path of an artist that finds a home for Bob Dylan and Radiohead covers in a musical career that began in bluegrass.
Join us Monday night at 8 p.m. EDT for a special performance by Jarosz at The Living Room in New York City, hosted by WFUV's John Platt.
