Food and Farm Policy
Food and farm experts will gather for the Food Almanac 2013 on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Brooklyn Winery, 213 North Eighth Street (Driggs Avenue), in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to discuss everything from urban agriculture to food policy in New York. The panel discussion includes light snacks, drinks and raffle prizes. Tickets, available online, are $63.09 for those wanting a one-year membership to Food Systems Network NYC, $52.74 for non-members or $28.87 for students.
Good, Clean Wines
A tasting event of Italian wines takes place on Jan. 28 at Three-Sixty, 10 Desbrosses Street (Greenwich Street), from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Guests will be able to sample more than 100 wines selected by the team behind ?The Slow Wine Guide,? a new book on Italian wines put together by Slow Food Italy. Tickets are $50 per person.
