Hardy?s Gospel music and entrepreneurial journey began when he was 18 years old and studied music business and management at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. While at Berklee, Hardy became a member of New Covenant Christian Church (now Jubilee Christian Church) where he met gospel recording artist?Freda Battle one Sunday after church, where she served as Minister of Music. This meeting would prove instrumental in advancing Hardy?s goals.

It was not long before this college student and singer?s abilities distinguished him as an industry professional who understood the music industry from almost every angle. As a production assistant for Black Entertainment Television?s syndicated program ?Lift Every Voice,? Hardy gained artistic media experience. From 2004-2007 he joined Battle?s national recording group Freda Battle and The Temple Worshippers and recorded and traveled across the country and internationally.

Hardy made the pivotal decision to relocate to Nashville, TN in October 2007, a city known for its music and spirit. Hardy?s Field Marketing Division launched in 2007 and has emerged as an industry leader working and coordinating various campaigns for an array of recording artists, industry professionals, and record labels. J. Hardy Agency provides services to independent and national recording artists, record labels, organizations and personalities.

The firm expanded in 2009 with the addition of a Public Relations division.
