Obama May Try to Sway Supreme Court on California Same Sex Marriage Ban

The Obama administration?is considering stepping in to urge the Supreme Court to overturn California?s ban on same-sex marriage, in an effort to placate homosexual activists.

On March 26th the Supreme Court is due to take up the case of whether to overturn Proposition 8, which says only a marriage between a man and a woman could be recognized by the state.

Nearly two dozen states have filed briefs with the Supreme Court urging the justices to uphold the ban, which many say is a sign the Obama administration should stay out of the case.

Jim Campbell of the Alliance Defending Freedom said ?There?s a critical mass of states that have spoken out and believe states should continue to have the right to define marriage as between one man and one woman.??
