Big 10 - Boys Grade 3

Michigan 37??????????????? ???????????????

Purdue 21

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Andrew Scolastico with a game high 15 points. Nine of Andrew?s 15 points came on 3?s. Helping lead the juggernaut attack was Jeandre Abel with 8 points and Nicholas Fanuele with 6 points. Joey Zuccola and Brian Duggan both scored 4 points. For the Boilermakers, John Rhind had himself a nice game with 9 points. Carter Wright and Nicholas Doyle had 6 and 4 points respectively. Joseph DeMoura swished home a basket late in the second half.

Wisconsin 39??????????????? ???????????????

Minnesota 26

With the off season looking at them square in the face, the Badgers certainly left everything they had on the floor. Dropping a season high 39 points, Wisconsin had two players score in double figures. William Stuart took charge with a game high 18 points, including 10 in the first half. Liam Dwyer had 13 of his own including 7 in the first half. Daevin Harless and Dominic Gabardi both scored 4 points. For the Golden Gophers, Luke Messina scored a team high 8 points. Helping him out was trusty sidekick Luke Murphy with 6 points while teammate Christian Luongo also dropped in 6 points. Michael Lee had 4 points while Nate Packer swished home a basket.

Nebraska 40??????????????? ???????????????

Iowa 34

Of the four players who scored for Nebraska, three of them scored in double figures. Clearly, Saturday was all about offense. Tommy Mallinson took control of the Cornhusker offense by dropping a season high 16 points, with 13 of them coming in the first half. Tyler Rourke and Kevin Stevens both scored 10 points with both of them dominating the offense in the second half. Jake Dwyer swished home all 4 of his points in the first half. On the other side, Michael Moody and Joseph Pastore both tied for the lead with 8 points. Joseph McLaren was right behind them with 6 points of his own while Jack Malloy and James Ward both swished home 4 points. Jake Warford and Cameron Eich each scored in the second half to close out the scoring for Iowa.

Indiana 24??????????????? ???????????????

Ohio St. 16

Leading the attack for the Hoosiers was Joseph Dynan with a game high 8 points. Helping out Joseph was Keegan Gray and Dillon Bloom with 4 points each. Zachary Weinstein was one of four players to score a basket for the victors. The remaining three players were Anthony Angiuoni, Tommy Boyajian and Charles Gardner. On the other side for the Buckeyes, Will Doucette and Dante Giampaolo led the way with 6 points each. Jack Melanson and Joey Cornish each had 2 points of their own as well.

Big East - Boys Grades 4&5

Rutgers 25? ??????????????? ???????????????

Pittsburgh 17

Rutgers pulled out a win in this high intensity match up against Pitt early in the morning. The offense came in abundance for?this team on Saturday. The scoring leaders were Aiden Mann who had 8 points, coming in behind him was Jake Arsenault, Max Wright, and Michael Brown; Arsenault had 6, Wright had 4, and Brown had?4 as well. Dylan Briggs and Jared Benoit both played very solid games as well, showing a lot of hustle and enthusiasm towards the end of the game securing this victory at seasons end. Pittsburgh played one of their best games of the season as well with Jared Venezia dropping 13 of his teams 17 points. Venezia's performance in the first half was simply dominating, scoring 8 of the teams 10 points. Helping him manage the scoring was Joe Lydon and Devin Milano who each had 2 points: they both played very solid games helping their team stay in the game. This game was very competitive throughout, with the outcome decided in the closing minutes.

Louisville 13??????????????? ???????????????

Providence 4

It's no surprise to look at Louisville's stat sheet and see both DeMonico brothers very involved in the teams' victory. Joseph DeMonico had 4 points to go along with some gorgeous assist work making his presence felt throughout the course of the game. His brother Dominick also played a solid game with 2 points, and some tough defense. Other significant performances came from Nicholas Sullivan who had 4 points, Sean Kelley who had 2, and Jack Gaglione who had 1 point to top off the scoring. Even though the score doesn't show it, Providence hung tough right from the start. Those who did score for the team were Reid Cote, Evan Vachon, and Aaron Babu; Cote had 2 points, Vachon had 1 point, and Babu also had 1 point. Matt Chisholm and Ryan Forcina both played very good games playing tough defense and creating numerous scoring opportunities throughout the game. Providence played a tough and gritty game but just had trouble scoring when it counted, and ended with a heartbreaking loss in the last game of this Rec. season.?

Villanova 19??????????????? ???????????????

DePaul 13

Richie McNamara came back from his two week absence from the court and made his presence felt from the get go. McNamara had 7 points to go along with an array of steals and assists, playing one of his better overall games of the season. Helping him along the way were teammates Jake Danieli and Eric Lovine who both had 4 points and played tough defense as well, helping in the interior against DePaul's big man. Stephen Smolinksy and Evan Witalisz both had solid performances as well; each had 2 points to their credit and played tough perimeter defense causing steals and scoring opportunities the other way. This was a complete team victory for Nova and a good way to end their almost flawless season. To no one's surprise Dominic Pedi led the way for DePaul on Saturday with 9 of his team's 13 points as well as a solid job on the boards and on defense. Pedi was harassed all morning by the guards of Villanova and could have had a breakout game had the defense not been so swarming. Those who helped the team on offense were Patrick O'Mahony and Sean Messinger who both scored two points; both guys also played quality defense helping to keep it close. Timothy Trevisone and Christopher McElligott both played extraordinary games as well, playing tough defense and controlling the tempo offensively for the team. DePaul played a very solid game but didn't have enough down the stretch to get a win against a very formidable opponent.?

Marquette 23??????????????? ???????????????

Syracuse 7

Marquette was led by the trio of Ryan Martin, Andrew Gallucci, and Derek Gallucci; Martin had a game high 10 points and did damage from both the low post and smooth drives from the top of the key. Andrew Gallucci had 5 points, playing one of his better games of the season; he did a good job of feeding the ball to Martin and other players racking up assists. Derek Gallucci had a solid 6 points hitting tough shot after tough shot, and playing some harassing defense on the other end. Evan Willis scored the last 2 points for the team adding up to their total of 23 points. For Syracuse the scoring came from a trio of their own, Atley Miller, James Valente, and Jerry Copson; Miller had 3 points, Valente had 2, and Copson had 2 as well. Miller played a good game defensively as well, having rebounds galore and helping on drives. Valente and Copson both handled the ball well keeping the pace of the game for the team. Gregory Adamek and David Olson both played good games as well: they hustled throughout working to keep their team in the game.

U. Conn 18??????????????? ???????????????

Notre Dame 17

U. Conn played a team game on Saturday with all six of the guys who showed up scoring. Jacob Fox, Vincent Scalfani, and David Adams led the way with 4 points each; all these guys played really good games hitting tough shots towards the end of the game in the clutch. Christopher Wong, Matthew Miller, and Michael Hersom all came in right behind them with 2 points; Hersom did a good job handling the ball and an even better job facilitating to teammates. Miller played a tough game on the defensive boards not allowing the opponent get second chance opportunities. U. Conn did a good job of out toughing their opponent playing right down to the very end, and came out with a close victory. Joseph Hansen played one of his best games of the season on Saturday scoring 4 points for Notre Dame while also controlling the ball for the team making sure they did not get turned over. Aidan Ryan and Jacob Febbo also played stupendous games with 4 points each and tough play on the defensive end. Jason Moore and Sean Riley both scored 2 points for the team along with creating many scoring chances; the final point came from Sean Murray who knocked down one free throw in the closing moments of the game to bring his team closer to victory. Notre Dame just could not find a way to score in the final minute of the game and had to settle with a tough loss.?

Cincinnati 17??????????????? ???????????????

Georgetown 12

Tristan Ciampa and Kyle Vallee played their very best in this season finale on Saturday; Ciampa scored 5 points for his team with a ton of tough shots that showed off his immense skill. Vallee showed off his athleticism with numerous steals and rebounds that were very impressive; he also had 4 points that came from his incredible defensive play. DJ Ricupero and Brendan Ho both played extremely well to no surprise of this writer; all year these two have played monumentally on the defensive side of the ball. The same goes for Ricupero racking up steals again this week, and Ho picking up tough rebound after tough rebound out of the air. Cincinnati won in true team fashion this week with every player contributing with what they do best. For Georgetown, Christian Robarge had 7 of his teams' 12 points on Saturday and just played a very solid overall game. The final 5 points came from Joshua Gale and Patrick McCarthy; Galle had 3 points and McCarthy had the final 2. Nathan Curdo and Dylan Clerico both played very well for their team and their effort was stupendous again this week as it always is. This energy kept them in the game but down the stretch Cincinnati had too much offense and Georgetown had to settle with the loss in this game.?

Conference USA - Boys Sixth and Seventh Grades

Houston 43??????????????? ???????????????

E. Carolina 26

Taking charge for Houston was Matthew Rideout with a game high 14 points, 10 of which came in the second half. Brett Tavares had another sound offensive game with 11 points. Scott Falzano scored 8 points while Marc Leone had 6 of his own. Samuel DeAngelis swished in the remaining 5 points. For the Pirates, Kevin O?Donnell led the way with 9 points. Brandon O?Donoghue was next up with 7 while Joshua Smith had 6 points. Angelo Perrino had 3 points and Kevin Elderd had a basket early in the second half.

Central Florida 43??????????????? ???????????????

Tulane 24

Having himself a great ballgame to close out the season was Tommy Worob. Worob led his team to victory but also led the game with 20 points, 12 of which came in the first half. Sam Wilson had his best offensive performance of the year with 8 points while Dillon McCarthy had 7 points. Sean Braz scored 4 of his 6 points in the first half while Brendan Ceres swished home a basket in the first half. For Tulane, Joseph McIrney once again played very well and scored a team high 11 points. Jared Marquard scored all 5 of his points in the second half. Jesse Valente had 4 points of his own while Shiv Patel and Michael Champoux both swished home a basket in the first half.

Rice 35

Leading the way for SMU was Thomas Hogan with 12 points. Helping him out was Matthew Hersom with 9 while Michael Daley and Michael Chrisemer both scored 8 points. Riley Zaya swished home a basket in the second half. On the other side for the Owls of Rice, Matthew Hansen exploded for a game high 18 points, including 11 in the second half. Joshua Bartnicki and Tommy Downs both scored 6 points as well. Omar Eldaly scored the final basket in the second half for Rice.

Tulsa 35??????????????? ???????????????

Memphis 31

Once again leading the way for Tulsa was Andrew Dalio with a game high 19 points, 13 of which came in the second half. Troy Riekstins and John Cox both scored 6 points with Cox scoring all of his in the first half. Sudarshan Swamy and Nicholas Moore both scored a basket in the victory. For the Tigers, Tyler Roberts took control of the offense with 11 points. Right behind him was Jason Spizuoco with 9 points. Shawn Marshall and Colin Rooney both scored 4 points while Kyle Gardner had a surprise 3-pointer early in the first half.

Southern Miss 44? ???????????????

Marshall 24

Offense was clearly on display Saturday, with this game being no exception. Southern Miss had 6 players score with 2 players scoring 17 points. Connor Benoit and Kellan Hardy both exploded for a game high 17 points with most of their damage coming in the first half. Sean Hardy and Michael Fothergill banged in 8 points of their own. Aditya Gautham also scored all 8 of his points in the second half. Nolan Kane swished in a basket in the closing minutes of the game. For Marshall, Justin Trevisani led the way with 8 points; all of which came in the second half. Christopher Deschenes also had a strong contribution to the offense with 6 points of his own while Niko Barone added in 5 points. Rafael Veloso scored all 3 of his points in the first half while Matthew McElligott scored his basket in the second half.?

NBA - Boys Eighth through 10th Grades

Pistons 29??????????????? ???????????????

Nuggets 18

The Pistons wrapped up their season with a final 29-18 win over the Nuggets. Ryan Flood ended his season atop the score sheet scoring 17 points; nearly outscoring the Nuggets alone. Brendan Daley contributed another 6 points, while Kevin Fothergill, Jake Kelly, and Freddy O'Brien all finished with 2 points in the game. Nick Fanikos continued to be an all-star defender making many great steals and aggressive plays to hold the Nuggets to just 18 points. Despite playing short-handed, the Nuggets kept pace with the Pistons for much of the game. Jordan Russo ended his stellar season scoring another 16 points in the final week. The final 2 points were scored by Brian Kelley. James Ryan and Jackson Smith both showed tremendous effort on both ends of the court.?

Hornets 36??????????????? ???????????????

Heat 34

The Hornets and Heat played in a nail-biting final game, with the Hornets barely edging the Heat for the final victory of the season. Edmond DeAngelis had the game of his career scoring 21 points. DeAngelis balanced his offensive game scoring 11 in the first half and 10 in the second. He truly was unstoppable in the final game. His teammates, Anthony Luti and Alexander Frye combined for another 11 points scoring 7 and 4 points respectively. Michael Berardi-Coulter and Anthony Brown rounded out the scoring with 2 points each. The Heat's Rob Fullerton played an amazing offensive game to lead his team with 17 points - half of the team's total. Harley Monteiro, Liam Rooney, and Scott Newton each finished with 4, while Tim Benoit added 3 of his own. The final 2 points were scored by Mike Germano. Both teams played a great game on both ends of the court. ?

Bulls 33??????????????? ??????????????? ???????????????

Knicks 13

The Bulls finished the season with a strong win on Saturday. They continued to get the entire team involved in the offense, showing that this is the key to victory. Brian Neal led his team with 12 points. Teammates, Alex Fischer and Andrew Vellucci, combined for another 12 with each scoring 6. Andrew Medros added 4 more, while Jack Sweeney, Zachary Thomas, and Alec Bonaccorsi all finished with 2 points in the final game. Brendan McIrney played a tremendous defensive game forcing many Knicks turnovers. The Knicks played a hard fought battle with just five team members present. Zachary Ahlin and Nicholas Trevisone each scored 4 points in the final game of the season. Tyler DeJesus and Adam Patton both finished with 2 points, and Ed Germano scored the final point for the Knicks. ?

Lakers 34??????????????? ???????????????

Suns 33

The Lakers and Suns saved one of the most exciting games of the season for last! The Lakers and Suns battled back and forth for an entire 40 minutes with the Lakers managing to finish ahead by the slightest of margins, one point. The Lakers' Mike Cocca led his team with 10 points. Cameron Albert was next in line with 7 points. Edward Gear added another 5, while Kevin Burke and Josh Sultan each finished with 4. The final points were scored by David Bailey and Scott Burke, each of whom finished with a deuce. Joseph Visalli made some great defensive plays when it mattered most to keep his team ahead. The duo of Steven Godfrey and Brad Fisher led the way for the Suns scoring 10 and 9 points respectively. Three other Suns finished the day with 4 points: Nick Skeirik, Ian Palmer, and Dan Bell. The final 2 points was scored by Zach Thomas. ?

Nets 43??????????????? ??????????????? ???????????????

Wizards 32

The Nets finished their season with an eleven-point victory over the Wizards. Justin Leger and Pat Dunfey both scored 13 points to lead their team. Leger scored three treys en route to his 13 points, while Dunfey finished with five 2-point baskets. Darin MacEacheron and Nick Poli both added 5 points, while Bradley Priem contributed 4 and Brendan Pierce scored the final 3. Zachary Marcinkowski played a great game for the Nets on both ends of the court. Peter Daley's 15-point performance led all scorers for not only the game, but also his Wizards team. Daley scored seven different times from inside the arc, including an "and-one" play to give him 15. Ed Gear scored another 6, while Colin Stanford and Thomas Simmons finished with 4 points apiece. The final 2 points were scored by Duncan Baron. Brian Ho and Josh Genthner both played a great game showing tremendous hustle and determination. ?

Atlantic 10 ? Girls Third and Fourth Grades

Xavier 31??????????????? ??????????????? ???????????????

LaSalle 27

Kiara Nadeau's team-high 12 points secured the win for Xavier over a strong LaSalle team in the last game of the season on Saturday.? Excelling offensively were Andrea Turner with 11 points, Emily McHugh with 4 points, and Allison Rebeiro with 3 points. Leila McLaren, Madison Ahern and Allie Ford were key components in Xavier's smothering defense.? Jenna Moore (1 point) and Caroline Rooney's defense on the perimeter also made it difficult for LaSalle to get to the basket.??

LaSalle's Samantha Papastathis kept her team in the game with a strong 14-point performance.? In addition to distributing the ball extremely well on offense, Antonia Brunetto and Mackenzie Canning each had 2 points. Sydney Vega (2 points) scored a basket on a nice inside move and Rita Roche (4 points) made two long-range jump shots. Ella Malvone (3 points) successfully completed a three-point play by making a foul shot after a strong drive to the hoop. Olivia Rogers, Sofia Donovan and Kari Wells tightly defended the Xavier players and caused multiple turnovers.

Duquesne 19 (Actual Score 27-8)???????????? ??????????????? ???????????????

Rhode Island 8

A strong offensive outing for Rebecca Dillon (12 points) helped give Duquesne a win over Rhode Island. Excellent shooting by Kaitlyn Doherty (4 points), Alexa Kelley (4 points) and Nina Koester (4 points) added to Duquesne's point total.? Amber Flynn and Janelle Penney's hustle on the defensive end of the floor stood out. Emily Watson (2 points) and Celia Kulis (1 point) rebounded well and made excellent outlet passes.

Ida Bishop (4 points) and Jenna Sweeney (2 points) led Rhode Island's offense. Laura Tran and Sara Buckley passed well on offense and gave their full effort on defense. Ashley MacGilvray also submitted an excellent defensive performance. Kayla Smith (2 points) played well underneath the basket all game long.

Fordham 25??????????????? ???????????????

Dayton 24

In a tightly contested game, Fordham managed to score the winning basket with less than a minute remaining to edge Dayton in the final game of the season. Alyssa Granara (8 points) and Grace Ardito (6 points) gave their team an advantage by consistently driving to the basket. Krista Gabaree (2 points) and Alison Celata completely controlled the offensive and defensive boards with their rebounding skills.? Molly Ardito (4 points), Gabrielle deVerbigier (2 points) and Emily Freitas (1 point) helped on the offensive end while Samantha Thompson, Rosie Brady and Shea Cushing held down the defensive side of the court for Fordham.

In a valiant offensive effort, Grace Leone poured in 16 points to help keep this game close until the final seconds. Offensive production was also received from Teagan McDonald (5 points), Alessia Puccio (2 points) and Rachel Ely (1 point). Excellent rebounding on the defensive boards by Alexandra Vale and Elizabeth Stokes limited Fordham's second shot opportunities. Angelina Zaykovskaya, Alexa Leone and Abigail Widomski all had great defensive games for their team.

ACC ? Girls Fifth and Sixth Grades

Maryland 24 (Actual score 26-14)?????????? ???????????????

Clemson 14

Scoring many of her baskets from steals and fast breaks, Maryland's Emma Surette (12 points) led her team to victory over Clemson Saturday.? Supporting Surette?s scoring efforts were Emma Garrity with 5 points, Jennifer Mills with 4 points, and Emily Gear with 4 points.? Jessica Stevens scored 1 point and played well on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Danielle Liscio did an excellent job of shutting down the passing lanes on defense to stall Clemson's offense.?

Once again, Victoria McGloughlin led Clemson's offense with 6 points, all on inside moves near the basket.? Delaney Diaz had 2 points and Meghan Canale, who played a very good game, chipped in a basket in the second half. Julia Willson and Meghan Abbey both contributed to the scoring with a point a piece from the foul line. Raegan Sweeney (2 points) and Shannon Abbey scrambled for loose balls and hustled on defense right to the final buzzer.?

Miami 28??????????????? ???????????????

Duke 19

April Haines and Brittany Cimaglia combined for 16 points to help Miami win over Duke Saturday.? Haines (10 points) and Cimaglia (6 points) received scoring help from Evelyn Miller-Nuzzo (2 points), Meagan Pennie (2 points) and Sophia Bonaccorsi (2 points).? The impact of Cassidy Spear (2 points), Maryjane Martin and Zahraa Warren's defense on Duke's offense was noticeable by all in attendance. Amanda Tran (2 points) and Allyson Buckley (2 points) were strong contributors on both offense and defense.

Julia Galvin converted 4 free throw attempts and a basket from the field for 6 points, and Gianna Brunetto scored 4 points to lead Duke's offense.? Anna Rideout (2 points), Jessica Ahern (2 points) and Christie Cappiello supported the offense with pinpoint passing and relentless defense.? The defense played by Melanie Hayden and Sophia Fruciano turned out to be a real obstacle for Miami's offense.? Kiki Barnum (2 points) and Alexa Williams (3 points) contributions at the point guard position and on defense were indispensable to their team.

WNBA - Girls Seventh through 10th Grades

Sky 35??????????????? ???????????????

Mercury 13

The Sky entered the final game of the season looking to wrap up the season with a win. Siobhan Turner once again led her team with 11 points. Jessica Backman, Alana Turner, and Nicole Watkins all chipped in with 6 points. Raniece Turner, Nicole Barry, and Liza Lake rounded out the scoring with 2 points apiece. Jenn Tague and Emily Carroll displayed tremendous hustle on both ends of the court. The Mercury's Emily D'Entremont led her team with 3 points on a basket and a free throw. Five other Mercury players finished with a basket ? Jackie Champoux, Katelyn Stevens, Kendra Swift, Kyra Walsh, and Kiarha Valera. ?

Storm 30???????????????

Mystics 28

The Storm and Mystics played an epic game this week as the Storm managed to finish the season on a high note with a win. ?Kristin Brown played an astounding game as she finished with 18 points - all on two pointers alone. Julia Burke finished with 5 points, while Erin Miasserian finished with 4. Alexia Puccio added another 2, and Sofia Puccio finished with the final point to keep the Storm ahead. The Mystics' Shannon O'Grady led her team with 13 points. Mia O'Connell and Julie DiAugusta combined for another 11 points scoring 6 and 5 points respectively. Christina John and Heather Pozzi each scored two points in their final game.

Liberty 35???????????????

Sparks 14

The Liberty's Samantha Rideout and Isabella Cigna led the attack for the Liberty. Both girls finished with identical scoring lines to end with 12 points. Helena Walker was next in line with 6 points, while Abby Genthner, Macy Doucette, Emily Loud, and Nicole Mallinson all finished with 2 points. Krista Brown rounded out the scoring with 1 point on the day. The Sparks played a tough game with Jessica Moore leading the way with 6 points. Marci Zaccardi scored another 4, while Siobhan Reidy, Veronica Reidy and Holly Doyle all finished with 2 in their final game. Olivia Cigna and Hailey DeJesus were the hustlers of the game as they gave 110 percent for the entire game.
